Juneau Youth Sailing is the capital city's volunteer, non-profit youth sailing program. We offer week-long summer classes for ages 10 and up, for all experience levels. We are primarily youth-oriented, but periodically hold a few adult classes as well. Classes take place in the Juneau Yacht Club, thanks to their kind donation of teaching space. Use this website to learn about the organization and register for classes.

2019 Summer classes

We don't have a lead instructor yet! And we're reluctant to open up registrations until we do, because if we didn't end up finding someone, we'd have to cancel on everyone, which seems worse than leaving everyone in the air for a bit while we continue the search. Of course, if it takes too long, people will sign kids up for other activities, and we could end up with too few students to hold classes. It's a real ''rock and a hard place'' sort of situation. If it helps, if/when we find a lead instructor, the class schedule we're planning to use is over there to the right (mouse-over the blue blocks and they'll tell you what they are). We're doing our best to get this season going, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
